The TV economy is just bizzare.
I came across this article "Who Are TV's Top Earners?" and found out that the earning of a drama series actor can range from $30,000 to more than $400,000 per episode. So if your show is a hit, you get to demand more. Its the HUGE difference that surprises me. You see, Oprah Winfrey earns $315million a year, whereas Jay Leno earns much lesser (in fact, 14 times more) - $25million a year. And what?! Ryan Seacrest of American Idol fame commands $15million a year just for that few opening/ending lines in those sparse episodes? 很好赚 lei!
